Welcome to Aunan Farm
Aunan Farm in Grindal offers a unique "farm-to-table" concept set in beautiful natural surroundings. The farm dates back to the 1700s, and the salmon river Orkla flows through the valley below. In the background, you’ll see the towering Trollheimen mountains, while organic vegetables grow right outside the door. One of our nearest neighbors is an award-winning cheeserie. If you and your group are looking for a break from everyday life that combines culinary and nature experiences, we have just what you’re looking for.
Here at Aunan Farm, we offer various packages including accommodation, dining, and activities. The farm and lodge, which is a short walk from the main building, can accommodate up to 30 guests across several buildings. The restaurant is located in the lodge and features a rustic dining room with plenty of space. Here, you will be served meals made from local ingredients, whether from our own fields or other producers in the area. During your stay, you’ll enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Nature is an equally important part of the experience in our valley. We offer a gastronomic safari where you’ll visit local producers and learn more about their sustainability philosophy and production. The beautiful mountain areas are perfect for hiking, fishing trips, or a peaceful stroll through the stunning Trøndelag mountains. It's also possible to ride Icelandic horses through the valley. The riding tour can be tailored to both beginners and advanced riders.
If you are looking to host a seminar, course, wedding, or anniversary, we have exactly what you need:
Accommodation for up to 30 guests.
Dining room and restaurant with seating for nearly 50 guests.
A chef who serves 3-4 course dinners or a custom menu for full-day events. Our ambition is to use mostly local ingredients.
Outdoor activities that suit everyone.
A friendly and flexible team to ensure a pleasant event.
For example, the upcoming FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2025 in Trondheim is an example where we can accommodate you.
